About JSDI

Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Interior, Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic and other institutions have been working on the Unified Traffic Information System for the Czech Republic (JSDI) project.

The system provides complex environment for traffic data acquisition, processing, sharing, publishing, and distribution. The data include traffic information, current traffic situation news, and traffic events that affect road traffic safety and smooth flow. The JSDI includes the Central Road Registry.

The main operation site of the JSDI is the National Traffic Center in Ostrava. From there, the information is published on the traffic portal (www.dopravniinfo.cz). Furthermore, the data is distributed using RDS-TMC and displayed on PIT (Variable Message Signs).

Data distribution interface is used to bring the vital information to different public service institutions, media, telecommunication operators, traffic news services, transport companies and others.
